Hello dear friends, I'm Kathy Mosher and am excited to share a new layout using the August Scraps of Darkness "Sparkle and Shine" kit. The photo was taken by my niece Dani Ulstad of Ronny and Renee Photography. This photo features my gorgeous niece Bre. Just love the expression on her face.
For the background I used the "Simple Stories" paper from the Patterned Paper Add On. I splattered a tiny bit of black ink to add a little interest around the photo. When I matted the photos I decided to sprinkle a little gold glitter on the bottom mat to keep with the theme of the layout and kit of "Sparkle and Shine".
I used the glittery ribbon included in the Main Kit at the bottom of the photo. I simply knotted it in a couple of places so it wouldn't bulge too much.
I love creating flower clusters. I used those gorgeous pink flowers that comes in the Floral Add On. I also fussy cut some flowers from one of the Simple Stories papers and tucked them in around the flowers. There is a fun sticker sheet from Prima that comes in the Main Kit. I couldn't resist popping a few around the layout.
The little sentiment is one of the Prima die cuts that comes in the Main Kit. So perfect for Bre! And I especially love the little feathers and balloons that I used at the top and bottom of the flower cluster.
Finally, I added the title phrase that is another die cut from Prima from the Main Kit.
